Viable Pregnancy Options

As we approach how to lead our lives holistically pro-life, it’s so important to consider aspects beyond changing a woman’s mind from abortion to life.

Caring Network is a holistically-minded pro-life organization with six (and counting) pregnancy resource centers in the Chicagoland area. We love partnering with women and giving them options so they are empowered to choose life for their babies. If our mission interests you, we want to hear from you!

One of the most common complaints made against the pro-life movement is that the focus is on saving babies and not on the life of the mother. Of course, we are passionate about saving babies! But we are just as passionate about meeting women where they are and supporting them! This is why it’s so important to have support programs available to empower and help these women when they’re in a tough situation.

Parenting and Adoption are Viable Options

As a pro-life organization, first and foremost, we champion the options of parenting and adoption for the women who come to see us. We make available the necessary resources and connections to organizations to make these options possible! If we are upset that abortion is happening, we must check ourselves to make sure we’re providing other avenues of support.

Social Support

A great way to empower and encourage women in unexpected or difficult pregnancy situations is to be a pillar of social support. The stigma surrounding unexpected pregnancy and abortion can often lead women to feel judged, isolated, and alone. As Christians, we are to welcome the lonely and give them a family. Women are more likely to be inclined to choose life if they know they have a social support system full of people who will help and offer acceptance.

Practical Support

Sometimes what women really need is practical support. Help with insurance, a steady job, housing, groceries…these are all needs that could empower and encourage a woman to choose life.

The way we lead a life that is holistically pro-life can be summed up in Jesus’ words found in Matthew 25:35-36:

“’…I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’”

By meeting practical needs, we exemplify Christ and live out pro-life values.

We are so passionate about providing women with what they need to say a courageous “Yes!” and choose life for their unborn child. We always need support and help to provide these options for women in the Chicagoland area.
