Caring Network is the first step for women facing an unplanned pregnancy. When a woman learns she is pregnant, Caring Network pregnancy consultants are prepared. But many pregnancy tests are negative, and this provides a unique opportunity to discuss abstinence. Before Shana knew the results of her test, she expressed that she would not consider abortion. She used to attend church and liked to read the Bible, but didn’t have one of her own. Her consultant shared the Gospel anew with Shana, who accepted Christ and even asked if they could pray together for her salvation. Praise God! She was pleased to receive her own Bible too. Then they read the results of her pregnancy test. It was negative, so they discussed God’s will for her to find abundant life by following His ways instead of her own. Shana decided to commit to abstinence, and share her experience with her boyfriend. She said, “If he really loves me, he will commit to this too.” What a blessing to direct this young woman toward the Savior!
