WANDA

Wanda had her mind made up before coming to Caring Network.  After taking a positive pregnancy test, she announced her plan to abort.  It seemed that Wanda was unaware of the life growing inside her—but everything was about to change.  When she first saw her child in an ultrasound, she didn’t know what to think.  Caring Network’s nurse offered her pictures to take home, and she declined.  But a minute later Wanda changed her mind.  As she returned to the consulting room she seemed different.  Wanda was open to discussing the emotional consequences of abortion, as well as alternatives.  As she let the truth seep in she became emotional.  Finally through tears she admitted, “I can’t go through with it.”  What a change!  The two continued with a spiritual discussion that opened the door to Wanda’s heart even wider.  Wanda left that day committed to choosing life, but also interested in learning more about God.  For weeks Wanda’s consultant has been following up with her, providing encouragement.

Praise God for this precious life rescued, and this mom saved from the pain of abortion!
