Churches: Practical Ways to Get Involved at Caring Network
Caring Network has been partnering with churches to serve women facing unplanned pregnancy since 1981. With compassionate support and free, pregnancy services, women are met with helpful tools and Christ-like care. Our six pregnancy centers are solely supported by individuals and churches in the area. We need passionate individuals to come alongside our work to reach more women in need! Find out more today about how you can get involved .
How Can Churches Get Involved Practically at Caring Network?
SHARE THE VISION OF THE ORGANIZATION
One of the first steps to becoming involved is to get other congregants or parishioners on board with the mission of Caring Network. Invite a Caring Network staff member to share about the organization during a service, missions fair, bible study, or other gathering. By sharing real stories of impact, others can learn more about how the vision of Caring Network changes and saves lives, spreading passion for pro-life ministry.
GATHER MATERIAL ITEMS TO HELP MOMS IN NEED
Once congregants get a picture of the work and vision of Caring Network, there are many opportunities for involvement. One practical option is hosting a diaper drive or material goods collection through your congregation, parish, or small group. By collecting diapers, wipes, formula, baby toiletries, and clothing, you are directly benefiting Caring Network clients in need. These items are a huge blessing to the participants in our Baby Bank programs who benefit from the additional practical support on a consistent basis.
INTENTIONALLY PRAY FOR CARING NETWORK CLIENTS
If you are a prayer warrior and enjoy lifting up the needs of others, one mighty way to impact the women and babies of Caring Network is through prayer . Each month, we send out specific client prayer requests, sharing basic information on the obstacles each woman is facing. By joining with others lifting up these needs, you become a part of the greater body joining in the ministry to save lives at Caring Network.
HOST A CONNECTIONS GROUP TO SUPPORT A FUTURE MOM
Connections is a program that brings together a pregnant client and a church group for spiritual and emotional support. The group comes alongside her during her pregnancy, taking her to coffee or meeting up for social or spiritual gatherings. Often the clients who participate may feel isolated or unsupported. Perhaps they are new to the area or are disconnected from their family or friends. This program allows a group to be the hands and feet of Christ, demonstrating love, compassion, and generosity. At the end of her pregnancy, the group throws her a baby shower in celebration.
If you as an individual or other members of your church would like to participate in the work of Caring Network, reach out to us today!
