Church Involvement: Helping Moms in Need
Caring Network is launching a new initiative for church involvement. Does your church group, Sunday school class, youth ministry, or small group want to make an impact for life? Our new project brings in groups of 8-10 people to prepare bags of essential items for moms who chose life for their babies. This gives each group an opportunity to make an impact, while also learning more about Caring Network and how we are saving and changing lives.
Caring Network operates six pregnancy resource centers in Illinois. We come alongside women facing unplanned pregnancies, providing free services and compassionate support, equipping them to choose life for their babies. With the battle for life intensifying, we are expanding our reach to help even more women across the state and beyond to have access to our life-saving services. If you’d like to partner with us in this mission, reach out to us today!
How Can My Church Get Involved?
In this tumultuous season in our culture, it can be hard to know where you can make a difference. Many people feel passionate about a cause, but don’t know where to start. By providing material items to moms in need, it’s an easy way to not only support a pro-life organization, but more importantly, to come alongside a mom in need.
Baby Banks Serve Caring Network Moms in Need
Caring Network partners with four local “Baby Banks” hosted in area churches. These Baby Banks provide ongoing material goods support to the women we serve. Items such as diapers, wipes, formula, baby toiletries, and even clothing may be provided regularly to moms in need. We not only walk with a woman through her pregnancy decision, but we are here to help equip her with what she needs to care for her child.
Packing Parties to Bless Moms Who Chose Life
One way to benefit moms, while also learning more about the mission and vision of Caring Network is to participate in a “packing party.” Packing parties are great way to serve women who found themselves with unplanned pregnancies and chose life for their baby. By participating in a packing party, your group of 8-10 people can come and tour one of our women’s centers and have the opportunity to pack bags with baby essentials such as soaps, lotion, wipes, bibs, and diaper cream. These items will go directly to those who participate in our Baby Banks. By packing these items for new moms, you and your group can help provide tangible and meaningful support to new moms who chose life!
Packing Parties are a fun and simple way to make to have a big impact. Each year, Caring Network serves hundreds of women who can benefit from the ongoing support is offered. If you’d like to learn more about how your group can participate in a Packing Party, reach out to Johnny today at johnny@caringnetwork.com.
