The Power of Restoration

Everyone needs a little help sometimes. Knowing when and how to reach out for it can be difficult for many people. Yet, when help comes it can be a powerfully restoring experience. Even the smallest helpful act can transform discouragement into hopeful change.

How can you offer someone in need the power of restoration? What are some things you can do to help transform and save a life?

For almost 40 years, Caring Network has been dedicated to changing hearts and saving lives. We come alongside women experiencing unplanned pregnancies and offer transformative help through our services. If you’d like to learn more about the ways you can help a woman in need, contact us or visit our Get Involved page!

The transition into parenting can be challenging for many younger women and their families. They want to give their child a good life, but may not be fully prepared to meet their needs. Additionally, these expecting or new mothers might need guidance as they enter the world of parenthood. Without support, their situations can seem disparaging. However, help can provide a powerful hope and restoration in their lives. At Caring Network, we connect women and their families to ongoing resources within their local communities. Check out these helpful programs and individual opportunities to learn more about what you can do to become a part of their restorative journeys.

Bridges Parenting Program

Caring Network often refers young expecting mothers to the Bridges Parenting Program. This free and local program provides parenting education and mentorship, prenatal and childbirth learning, emotional and spiritual support, and access to community resources. Volunteers can help support young families by donating their time and resources to this parenting program, or praying for its clients.

Baby Banks

When practical needs are met, it can ease stress on a parent and allow them to focus more on their child’s upbringing. Material goods and practical supplies can make a world of difference to a family struggling financially. Caring Network connects families to local Baby Banks supported by our partner churches in Naperville and Wood Dale. Baby Banks provide women with supplies such as diapers, wipes, and clothing. Volunteers can pray for client needs, sort and organize supplies, or assist women as they gather their materials. Additionally, supply donations are welcomed and accepted at the Baby Bank locations.

Connections Mentoring Program

Sometimes help is needed in more than just practical or financial ways. When a pregnant woman lacks a solid support system, it can impact the options she considers. Though Connections, Caring Network offers pregnant women the opportunity to form relational and spiritual connections with church groups. The program forms a network of support around an expecting mother to enhance and improve her quality of life, and hopefully form lasting relationships within church families. Connections groups give women prayer support during her pregnancy, and host a baby shower after her baby is born. If your church family is inspired to help transform a woman’s life, contact Nicole to make a connection.
