Carla’s Story

“Carla” is a Caring Network client who recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Filled with joy and thanks, she reached out to her Caring Network pregnancy consultant and wrote: My daughter Camille was not planned. In fact, when my husband and I married we had decided that we were not having children. We already had two teenage children from previous relationships. When I took a home pregnancy test and it was positive I was very upset. I called and made an appointment at an abortion clinic, but knew that I needed help because I really didn’t want to have an abortion. I had an abortion in my past, and had nightmares about it for a long time after. So I called and made an appointment to come to Caring Network. There I was given an ultrasound and learned that I was 6 weeks along. I heard my daughter’s heartbeat and cried. I knew at that moment there was no way I could go through with an abortion. Now when I look at her I think, what a terrible mistake I could have made. I just wanted to thank you for helping me through this!
