Mia’s Story: The Gift of Life
In 2024, our Caring Network team had so much to be thankful for — especially generous and caring friends like you. You’re part of a community that is rallying to support life, proclaim the Gospel to women with unexpected pregnancies, and save precious lives.
Through the mercy and grace of God, you make it all possible — including outcomes like
Mia’s story. Thank you for choosing to share the gift of life.
Mia came to Caring Network for a pregnancy test appointment looking to confirm her home results. She expressed that she was planning to terminate because of her age and lack of financial stability and means. Mia said that the pregnancy was a “good thing,” but her circumstances didn’t allow for her to parent.
When talking with her pregnancy consultant, Mia said that she believed a child would provide her with the emotional comfort that she didn’t have. Mia revealed that she was a Christian but stopped turning to God several years ago when her life got difficult.
Her Pregnancy Was God’s Plan
Her pregnancy consultant shared the Gospel and reiterated God’s promises and His presence as Mia navigated her decision-making process. Mia exclaimed tearfully she felt like this pregnancy was God’s plan.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:13-14, NIV
Mia had a positive test and agreed to receive info on parenting and abortion. Afterwards,
Mia stated she felt “more encouraged” and her time at Caring Network was a positive experience.
Caring Network assisted Mia with her transportation to and from her following ultrasound appointments with gift cards — made possible thanks to friends like you who give generously to help save lives. At her first scan, Mia said she was now undecided but still leaning more towards termination. Parenting would be more difficult, “but not impossible.”
After leaving, Mia agreed to stay in contact with her pregnancy consultant and continually stated
she wanted to continue her pregnancy. Still, she said was thinking about aborting. Eventually, Mia informed her pregnancy consultant she was going to abort and agreed to come back to Caring Network for a rescan and to receive second trimester abortion information.
A Mother’s Gratitude for Support and Resources
After the scan, Mia told her pregnancy consultant in a follow-up conversation she decided to continue the pregnancy after speaking with the father. Mia later expressed gratitude for her pregnancy consultant’s support and help with finding resources and providing transportation help to her appointments.
As you might imagine, we praise God for giving Mia the courage to give her child the gift of life! Many other women like Mia who are facing unexpected pregnancies need support and resources, too. They need the care and compassion and the miracles you provide through your prayers and generosity.
When you give today, you’ll share Jesus with more young women like Mia and help them choose life for their babies. You’ll help provide free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and other compassionate support . . . and rescue innocent children.
